Shami kebabs are a popular starter throughout india and pakistan made with meat mince & perfect blend of spices....simply a rich royal treat
Ingredients
500 gms of boneless mutton mince,
1 cup chana dal-split bengal gram(soaked overnight),
1 meduim sized diced Onion
3 Green Chilly whole
3 Green Chilly whole
5 pods Garlic
1 tsp Cumin Seed (Jeera)
4 Cardamoms
5 cloves
5 cloves
1 " long piece Cinnamon (Dalchini)
Method:
*Put all the ingredients in a pan adding 2 glass water and cook lid closed till the meat softens and water is dried .
*when done,add salt to taste and grind meat mixture into a paste and transfer into a bowl
*Add 1 beaten egg little by little and prepare a uniform dough.
*Add 1/2 cup chopped coriander to dough and mix well.
*Shape the dough into flattened kababs oval or round shape as per your choice.
*Heat oil and shallow fry kababs till golden brown and serve hot...
