chilli pepper fish

A Chinese style dish prepared using fried fish in a thick sauce.It is a great combo with Chinese fried rice and excellent starter

Ingredients
Fish Pieces(Boneless) – 250 gms cut to cubes
Maida – 1/2 cup
Corn flour – 1/2 cup
Baking Powder –1 tsp
Soy Sauce – 2 tsp
Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt
Oil

For the Sauce
Ginger (chopped) –1 tbsp
Garlic (chopped) – 1 tbsp
Green Chilly(chopped) – 1 tbsp
Soy Sauce – 4 tbsp
Chilli Sauce – 1 tbsp
Corn Flour – 1tbsp
Spring Onion – to garnish


Preparation

Make a smooth batter with corn flour,maida,baking powder,soy sauce ,pepper powder,water and salt.
Dip the fish pieces in the batter and deep fry in oil till golden brown.Transfer fish into a plate with absorbant tissue.
Heat 1 tbspn oil in a pan.
Saute garlic, ginger and green chilly for a min....
Add soy sauce,chilli sauce
Finally add corn flour mixed with 1/2 cup water to it and stir well.Once it starts to boil, remove form fire.
At the time of serving ,pour the sauce on top of fried fish pieces carefully to cover all.
Garnish with chopped spring onions
